NASA should build faster rockets like the VASIMIR plasma rocket engine that could take a mannaed flight to Mars in six weeks or less. Their plan to distribute mars rock and siol smaples to hundreds of labs is stupid. If pathogenic organisms are present in the samples there is much bigger probability they will get loose if they are not all kept in one place with super high containment capabilities.
