The Filipino Telcom companies can make 3G attractive to the mass market by keeping the cost low and affordable. Every laptop user could get a modem card and use 3G on the road or all over town if they offer an unlimited package for 2000 Pesos, but i am afraid they will want to charge by the minute, so people will just use a lot less and 3G will sit on the shelf until 2010 when they finally figure out people dont like a meter running while they are on the internet.
