4G is SUPPOSED TO BE a standard of the bandwidth and security of mobile device networks, particularly Smartphones, such as the latest iPhone.

However, the manufactures and the providers admit they do not "actually" meet the 4G standards, and in some cases fall well short of them, as I've even seen mentioned.

So "functionally," 4G is nothing more than a misleading marketing tool, and is only marginally better than 3G.
