Hi,
could anyone suggest books on solid state physics? There are quite a lot of books which treat the subject differently. My aim is to be able to explain band diagrams for different semiconductor structures, pn, MOS, p-i-n and then get into two dimensional modelling of these structures. Suggestions on any of the above topics are welcome. Thanks a heap. totti |

Hi,
To me the most famouse one is "Introduction to Solid State Physics" by Charles Kittel. What I have is 7th edition, John Wiley & Sons, Inc., NY But this one is more on Solid State Physics and as I understood you need more on Semiconductor Physics. Then take "Physics of Semiconductor Devices" by S.M. Sze (from Bell Labs). John Wiley, 2nd Edition., NY |
