and would you think the assertions that this article makes will cause companies to improve products and methodologies so that there is nothing that an employee can really neg on?

ORRRRRRR

do you think that they will find a way to contractually hold your job over your head in totalitarian methodologies and abridge your first amendment rights?

of course making good products and treating your customers well is soooo passe and doesnt allow you to squeeze them out of every last penny you can trading possible brand loyalty for cents on the dollar. (its a fact that if a telecom company appeared and didnt screw their customers, that people would flock over to it!)

i mean perhaps taking temporary loans by overcharging and later crediting is maybe a *** thing.

or like directv charging you a fee to pay your bill..

or stamps.com charging defunct cards in perpetuity to run up the amounts you have to spend.

or cell contracts that charge you a years worth of service when you terminate (and then dont let you USE the service you have paid for!!)

underhanded contractual agreements that add atypical terms and such so as to trap a few bucks here and there.

holding salaries for an extra week so you can make cash on money that isnt yours and pay employees with the fruits of their monies investment subtracting the salary from the extra amount your due (for using your money), and pocketing it.

on and on..

this is american business today... forget new products, forget honnest treatment and good practice...

nope, hunt them down, control them, beat them, sue them. cheat them.
this is what you do to your employees and what you do to your customers.

neither are really important, if they were, things would be different...

and you know the worst part?

no one wants to make it better, that would take skill... much better to be sneaky, underhanded, and devious... not only do the bosses appreciate it more, but it adds a bit of excitement to a life that has way to much money in it anyway.
