Can science and religion coexist peacefully? This is a good question to start an interesting discussion. See how it was answered by many smart people at my website:

Ludwik Kowalski (see Wikipedia) Professor Emeritus Montclair State University, NJ P.S. Clickable link (which is not allowed) will not be formed, due to asterisks. You must manually create the URL (by removing asterisks) and paste it into your browser. What you will see is a compilation of interesting comments. I am not trying to advertise a product or service. I hope this will be obvious to the moderator. -------------------- Ludwik Kowalski, a retired nuclear physicist and the author of a free ON-LINE autobiography entitled “Diary of a Former Communist: Thoughts, Feelings, Reality.”
http://csam.montclair.edu/~kowalski/life/intro.html It is a testimony based on a diary kept between 1946 and 2004 (in the USSR, Poland, France and the USA). The book describes my evolution from one extreme--a devoted Stalinist student--to another--an active anti-communist. Writing it was a moral obligation to my parents, and to other victims of Stalinism. The more people know about proletarian dictatorship the less likely will we experience is. Please share the link with those who might be interested, especially with young people, and with potential reviewers. Thank you. |

You spelled 'autobiography' wrong on that page.

The short answer is yes. Apparently there are people who are wired to let others think for them. A smart preacher will meet the special offer of this category of people and thereby benefiting both materialy and psychologicaly just as a professional sports person does. There is nothing wrong with it of both parties are happy at the end of the day. Personally, i do pay to attend comedy shows. The guy may be doing it just for kicks but he is making some dough. I burn some dough but i get lots of laughter, the best medicine.
-------------------- Boit was last taught physics in class way back in 1994. Whatever he's learnt thereafter is purely by personal effort through this forum and searching the net. He is not an authority in any matter science. Unless with clear referrence, what he puts forward is his own understanding of what he has read and may not always be correct. Peace.
