ok, my question is simple and it pertains to vacuum bagging carbon fiber. everything i see on the internet suggests using a plastic bag for the process. is it not possible to use a sealed lexan box to perform the same task? it's creating a vacuum correct? can someone explain what i'm not understanding?

Well it can used but there costs more and also its not so flexible to carry every thing. Plastic bag is good choice but plastic is biodegradable so it cause lots of pollutants. So i suggest that qualitative cloth bags would be the better option.

you still achieve vacuum and compression needed to form whatever it is you're creating in the "bag" or "box" correct?
