Religion is ancient mans attempt to explain/understand the effects of quantum physics.
Also- A child is a vessel. Fill it with love (I think it was Elton John (or was it God?) who said "You can'y drink whisky from a bottle of wine")...or the reverse- Garbage in - Garbage out. |

-------------------- The universe is in a continuous change. A change n gets transformed into a change n+1, the change n+1 into a change n+2 and so on. Clocks measure a frequency, velocity and numerical order of change. Changes do not occur in time, changes occur in space only. Time is not a part of space. In the space there is no past and no future. Past and future belong to the inner time that is a result of neuronal activity of the brain.

There's truly not a huge difference between many things that are called scientific and religious as they're both based to an extent upon beliefs, definitions, and assumptions, they're both products of trial and error and it's probably not particularly productive to see them as unrelated. (There are realms of experience that are inexplicable to science, and I see science as coming from one direction, sorting through kernels of hard logic and then bumping up against the unknown, whereas religion or maybe I should say spiritual views go the other way around and try to fill in the unknowns while bumping up against reality (and there's a thin slice sandwiched between these two extremes that people live their day to day lives in)), but in many ways the two views are flip sides of the same, or very similar, coin and science or logic can't see this directly, whereas the unknown has few handles to attach it to reality so they don't interact directly, but instead it appears more likely that "life" (in a rather abstract sense) is what connects the two realms together and keeps it flowing along.

Ernst Cassirer - "Language and Myth."
Highly recommended for those both for and against the mythico-religious sensibility these days we will one day (perhaps) call the Second Dark Ages. Best, RF -------------------- Reality is always bending itself for us. sometimes it bends itself to amuse us, sometimes to teach us, sometimes to confuse us. It bends itself overtly and covertly. the bending takes many different forms -- sometimes visual, sometimes spiritual, sometimes we feel vertigo that has nothing to do with any physical circumstances... - Egg Theorem

Recursively and futuristically speaking, the same could be said of all human knowledge. We've had books for a long time, yet generation after generation forget or fail to learn the lessons history teaches.
