“Mechanical forces contribute to many cellular functions, including changes in gene expression, proliferation and differentiation.” Size and shape determination of cells could shed some insight in how proteins take their shape and later perform as they do. This method may lead to how diseased cells will be determined and then altered at the gene and protein levels back to an original or earlier healthier state. |
