QUOTE (Nick @ Feb 7 2007, 10:46 PM)
You can slowdown or alter your time by speeding up or entering stronger gravity. If you were to go fast enough or get close enough to a black hole you could travel into the future of the rest of the universe simply because your clock will be running much slower than everything else's (in general.)

The longer you waited with a very slow clock the further into the future of everything else you would be.

If this were possible then a black hole would not be able to absorb any more material or would do it on such a slow rate as to be useless. Though it is said the clock of something slows down, it's own speed in the present time doesn't and it would be swallowed almost instantly.

Any fool can appear smart in answering a question on accepted science by simply using a search engine. Such people however panic as soon as anything out of the box comes up because there is no ready made answer they can use. They then seek to hide their ignorance by ridiculing the person concerned or like an Englishman abroad, just shouting accepted science ever louder till they get a result.
